Rare vintage Rörstrand 'ARO' organic-shaped stoneware bowl in brown glaze. Designed by Gunnar Nylund, Sweden 1950s. In excellent vintage condition, underside marked as second sorting.

Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Swedish ceramic designer known for his work at Rörstrand, where he served as artistic director from 1931 to 1955. Before this, he worked in Denmark at Bing & Grøndahl and co-founded the Saxbo ceramic workshop in 1930. Nylund gained recognition for his use of innovative processes, such as matte feldspar glaze stoneware in hare's fur and crystal glazes, as well as his stoneware animal sculptures.
